i used to feel the same about swimming. back in 2003/4 (I can't believe how long ago that is now!) I got into a habit of going early in the morning before work for about 6 months when I started a new job. I always used to think of a billion reasons why i should go back to sleep when my alarm went off but i forced myself to get up and swim and I usually felt better for it. Being in the water was refreshing... it certainly woke me up and got my heart pumping! Wish I could still do that now....

I just entered (the ballot for) the Loch Ness Marathon!

I too like running, but always find excuses.
