Yeah it seemed like a weird concept that I have'nt seen done yet, and I wanted to make a wooden fin so I took the risk. (Also to get the marks it needs to be unique and apply to a specific target market).
All that's left to do is to test and take pictures so hopefully I'll get down to Devon during Easter and see how it goes.

There'd probably be a great market for wood fins, especially all nice and polished up with lots of grain. You thinking about going into production? I may take one off our hands if you do... Zat glassed on or did you use a box system?

Can we get a better pic of the fin? It just may work with how long it is. I will be interested to see how fast it turns.

Yeah the fin's glassed on; I'll be able to get some more pics up in the next few days, good to hear there's some interest in the concept though. :)

This is it before it was glassed on, just to show the grain:

Yup it's 6'4x19"x2 1/4"
The concave is single on the entry and a gradual double concave at the tail to either side of the batail, hopefully making use of the central pivot point and linking in with the single fin.
That was the theory anyway but I tended to make it up as I went along, it was great having a teacher who knows nothing about surfboards. :)

Could you give us a picture of the rocker/foil and a picture straight on and a picture of the foil of the fin?

That would be sweet!
