brummie wrote:sweet man, is the surf much different to back home? obviously the weather is consistently warmer etc. also whats the place like as a whole where you live, are there consistent waves etc?

hahahahahahaha... is it different? Is Marmite different to ice cream?

Waves are much more consistent (Ive seen one flat day in four months worth of summer), even the small stuff is much more powerful, the shape and structure of the waves is completely different (which has caused me no end of trouble with picking the right wave), and even the swell prediction is different (and not just because everything goes the wrong way).

Its ALL different, but its all good 8)

Oh, except that in summer it goes onshore every afternoon, which means getting up early for the good surf

Move over the Tasman, it's much better, in Summer it just goes onshore 24/7, so no worries about having to get up early 8)
