had some goos surfs since about friday. rhossili on firday bout 3-4ft on the sets and just about clean enough in the light winds.

hit threecliff bay yesterday and got the place to myself with some nice but small waves. started to pick up with some lefts of the cliffs. surfed really well too which helps.

and today got in at an nice left hand reef break with only 4 other guys out. pretty friendly too.

woot i love it here

Va Beach was seeing 6-8 foot waves today. Of course it was about 50 degrees out with even colder water while raining, but it was well worth it.

Some DOH+ at San Elijo today, but generally smaller, say head high. Pounding, lip spitters, plenty of juice. Rights were sweet but lefts were mainly closing out. CHarvey, myself and a couple of other buds went out. Was great meeting CHarvey in person.

Fair few sessions over the last week nothting special jsut the usal 2-4ft of glass. one evening sesh as good with all the locals out at bushfoot. lots of w00ps and banter. great vibe.

Yesterday saw the new swell arrive and peeks during the day at 31ft. The coast took a battering as winds also came in strong. didn't quite make the tide after work for a shelterd spot.

Today however the winds turned more favourable and lightened off a bit. Got me out on my own on the local reef in 5-8ft ( head & half average ) very sectiony sets. The variation in size became a little frustrating but as the tide dropped it began to sort itself out. come classic sections to hit and very long rides right down the full length of the set up. Spray was bit of an issue but the wedge/bowl sections in the later halve made up for this.

Great sesh :)

Not sure if i can get out to morrow or not. The rope bridge is going back up so got to work at that for most of the day.

So putting up the rope bridge was called off because of the wind and swell size so off i go for a dip...
Todays session was very similar to yesterdays just a little confused on occasion as winds had a little more west in them. still good and blazing sun .

Saturday morning out in Torrance/Redondo area I got out in the morning, around 8am. A lot of people out.. and for pretty good reason. Waves were easily headhigh to most people.. I'd be willing to say 5-7ft faces.. More like occasional 7ft's.. probably more often 5-6fters rolling through.

Had a blast on my bodyboard.. usually used to surfing 3-4ft faces.. so this was a nice change.

a nice big one.. willing to bet 6ft face, rolled through and I was in prime location for it.. (if I was alone, I probably would've back down from it..) HOWEVER, my dad was out there with me.. he was hootin me on, and then some other surfer guy gave me the big-grinned "Yeah man, do it!" So I couldn't let it go.. hah. Probably doesn't sound to great to many of the real surfers here.. but 6ft face is bigger than I usually deal with, so it was a definitely FUN experience for me.. I'll be grinning about that wave all week. hehe.

this morning was good fun...ventura....missed the last week due to a wrist injury from skating. Wrist still killed, wiped my first drop cuz of it. All the rest of the drops were ok cuz I made a fist and punched my deck instead of a flat handed press. No bent wrist, no pain, no more missed drops.

Argh! Just took a quick look at my local beach and it's flat as, but the lake has been dug out and the sandbars are so perfect! These tiny little 2 inch waves roll in and break for like 2 minutes before eventually crashing on the shore. Just need a decent swell now!!!

A quaint dip in a sheltered harbour today with a friend visiting. was only 1-2ft/waist high being so sheltered but was nice to be out of the wind. Took lots of rides off/over the rocks and penty of manoeuvres to be had on the middle section.
then it started hailing, that was a bit painful.
