Yeah not bad.. Was good to get some waves with a bit of grunt.

Going to have tomorrow off and head down to Bombo for a few, try and beat the onshores.

Iv'e got another contest this weekend so fingers crossed there's waves over the next few days.

Cool! :D
Where's that? Looking like a good solid swell for most of the weekend. Good luck!

Just a local session at maroubra last night. Rubbish, onshore, small conditions... and I was all over it
I was back on my familiar fish, and the conditions were much more 'english'
I got some of the best waves that Ive had in a long time :surfing:

Jimi and I are STILL planning on heading down to your bit of the world as soon as we get organised! :bang:

Bombo is about 45mins south of me. Its just Nth of Kiama and one beach south of Boneyards. Boneyards will be a stop off, just in case, also.
Bombo is a good beach break that breaks left and right in the middle, small rights at the Nthrn end and a fast right at the Sthrn end. You got to drive under the rail line to get there and many miss the trun-off.

This weekends comp is just a pointscore event at East Corrimal.

Looking forward to some good waves over the next few days.

Good to hear you had a good session.
Yes, still waiting on you and Jimmy... Its all good, I may end up, up there for a meet eventually.

Glad you two had good sessions! I had an ok one yesterday arvo, but the damn onshores kept the waves choppy and, well, inconsistent...

Sets were good though!

As for a south coast meet... I'm pretty well up for any weekends other than the 1/2 march and the easter long weekend.

My home brake hasn't had waves since last Saturday. Hoping it picks up this afternoon.

Swell looking absolutely stunning this morning 8)
Clean, big, good period... almost perfection?

Sadly, I was observing the swell while waiting for a bus to work rather than from the line up

It'll still be around tomorrow so I'll try and get some photos. :surfing:

Ahhh another good day to have off...
I planned it well!
Hows thismornings report-
Fri Feb 22nd, 7:18am
Surf: clean 5-6ft
Wind: calm WNW
Weather: mild
Dawn Patrol: The swell has definitely arrived, with some solid looking kegs in town. The winds are light and offshore and are holding the sets open nicely. There seems to be a lot of water moving around, so grab a bigger board to get into them early. HT @ 10am LT @ 4:29pm.

Time for a good breakfast and Im on the road again...

Had awsome waves today.
Didn't head down to Bombo as planned. Surfed the open beach at East Corrimal.
Sunburnt and can still stinging from salt in the eyes.
Forced myself to come in this arvo, in an effort to reserve some energy for the weekend.
We had some solid lefts and in-between the sets you could pick off some really punchy rights a little down beach.
Would have been a fairly solid 5ft, and with low tide coming going out, the inside sections were a little heavy. This was good and kept most of the crowd either right out the back or struggling to get out.
How was Sydney? Anyone get out?

Awesome surf yesterday afternoon after work! good 4ft solid, and pretty regular bigger sets at cronulla!

Got totally worked a couple of times, but got a couple of sweet waves too.

far too exhausted to go anywhere today. 8)

Yeh, same situation in Cronulla. The takeoff point in the lineups was empty! everyone was sitting waay out back waiting for the bomb sets, or getting hammered paddling back out.

Pretty much as soon as I was out, I could take any wave I wanted, without anyone to fight for it.

Yup, it was all going off today. Huge sets coming in between all the merely big sets. Here's maroubra at about 10am...

I didnt get in the water today - maroubra was a zoo, and the waves were giving some heavy beatings. And the Mrs was demanding some quality time with me not in a wetsuit...

I'll be in there tomorrow 8)

Good conditions down here and some solid waves.
I missed registration cut-off for the opens but got into the o-28's and the o-35s. I won opening heats in both divs and went right thru to take third in the finals in both. I also scored an official entry into the Illawarra Regional Titals - Mega Stoked!
Surf was a bit to heavy for the Groms and the Girls but there was some serious surfing in the opens and senior events.
I scored well on some backhand lefts but still just couldn't get the right wave.

Some pretty lame pics....

The scene fairly early.

This left was firing on 3rd or 4th sets... Bit messy here but shows the size.
