for some reason i thought you would start with a rectangle block of foam and start shaping from there????

Shaping from a rectangular block of foam takes quite alot of skill and you'd also need to put in your own stringer.
Shaping from a blank is much easier but still requires a good eye. You can also have the blanks pre-shaped at some places leaving very little shaping to do which is good if you don't like making lots of mess or are not too keen on the shaping process.

Now that would be a processYa as long as you arnt cock eyed you shouldnt have too much issues
as for pre shaped blanks i wasnt interested in walking down that road i wanted to get expo in just about every part of shaping. anyway preshaped blanks cost more i think

isaluteyou wrote:what are you using to draw out the designs on the computer. As i reccon thats a brilliant way of getting the core idea down. Rather than have to faff around on the blankcause thus far i have found that it really pays off to have the whole scenario mapped out in your head befor you even touch the foam
