Rash Guards

Postby a_person » Mon Feb 18, 2008 8:40 am

Might sound like a ridiculous question...but is it practical to just wear a rashguard and boardies (no wetsuit)? Or do you folks just wear thinner wetsuits when surfing in warm climates?

I sometimes wear only boardies, although you can get a rash it is just the best feeling if you have nice boardies, a wetuit can get uncomfortable compared to boardies.

don't like surfing without a rashguard if i'm in boardies because i always get sun burned when i'm in the water but as for the rash factor it only comes once or twice (for the first session) and then it's fine after that.

i like to wear a rash vest and boardies, my rash vest is black so it keeps me warm when in and out of the water.

niall, you wear a rashie & boardies up north?...is it that much hotter than the north-west! Stuck in a wettie all year round.
