L.A. area?

me and two of my friends are tyring to move out to california and they want to move to the L.A. area( anywere with about an half hour drive or so to los angeles) Were trying to find a cheap area that is pretty nice. does anyone have any suggestions. thanks

dude...i grew up in the san fernando valley and love it...i won't trade it for anything...ghetto as hell but always fun...plus, close to downtown for sure

Places to live.

Check out places in Westchester and Culver City. Westchester is just North of LAX and fairly easy access to the beaches. I live there, in a house, and can get to the beach in 10-15 minutes.

That's probably some of the cheapest living within striking distance to the beach.
Also, some apartments in Playa Del Rey might be fairly cheap. Do some hunting.
