Good days waisted.

Postby The Fafanator » Fri Feb 15, 2008 6:58 pm

Today was a really good day for surfing, nice shoulder high waves and the occational head high set, everything was perfect, exept the experianced guys and the longboarders at the back caught every single wave and didn;t leave a single one for us groms more down the line up, I caught 6 waves in total in a 2 hour session, share your stories of good days waisted.

I agree with PapaW here. I paddled out last weekend and floated there for an hour and a half.. I caught ONE 3 second ride and paddled for a total of about 4-6 waves.

I walked away from the beach that day and said, "that was fun.." cause a bad day surfing, is still better than the time I would've truly wasted sitting on the couch instead. :?

What I mean is not days that weren't fun, catching 6 waves that doesn't overwelm me like the xxxxx I sometimes paddle into was alot of fun, I just mean days that could have been so much better than it was, no matter how good it alredy was, I agree that no day that you actually paddled out in is wasted, Infact today was some of the most fun I had in weeks, the water wasn't cold anymore, plus the water was a nicer lighter blue, I just think it could have been 10 times better if the other guys gave us unexperianced surfers a few waves, and not just knee high slop.

How can day be better than it was if you had fun or that "no day that you actually paddled out in is wasted"

Seems a bit of a contradiction.

You make the day what it is yourself...

Hang on - weren't you ripping into barrels last week and pulling slash cutbacks??

Surely with your natural talent, everyone would have let you have whatever waves you wanted??

Seriously - the only time you're 'wasting' seems to be the amount of xxxxx you post on here..........

no day wasted... ever!
even if it's just to paddle, to do exercise, or just to dip your self in water, it all clears your mind, and that is important as well.
my sessions are 2 hours tops, and i think most of the time i'm either surfing or paddling, 20 waves on average, pretty sure more than that though...

Getting wasted always makes for a good day. It's even better to get wasted and score a surf.

Since no one else has said either of them, it's CLICHE time! :D

1- A bad day surfing is always better than a good day working.

2- A day wasted is never a wasted day.

3- Chat sh*t, expect ridicule.
