I startted with stand up orignally! then I saw the light ..

I lov being so close to the wave, I find it more versitile, you can go bigger, deeper and tort your body in ways you though impossable..

and s for cyclops... its waves like this you can't ride without a bboard cause its so steep and hollow!

Aaaw gawd yeah, I remember seeing the picture of 'Clops for the first time. Dude I was adament it was unsurfable, its so steep, so heavy, so twisted! Id love to go watch it going off, on the safety of a boat...naturally!
Didnt the Quik crossing come across it somewhere out in the Pacific a few years back?

mate i think your got the wrong idea ,people down here (cornwall) get a little angry with the tourists in summer who flock to the beaches like seagulls on a pastie and crowd up the water with polestryiene tacky tings , but i have loads of respect for the proper bboarders some of the manourvers they pull, there style there dedication ,that s my thoughts anyways every one has a diffrent opinion its just your take on things is a bit wrong ,also {surfers don't like spongers that much near me so i went into surfin} qoute) thats a bit shallow changing what you do just because some people dont like it come on ...

yep, i use to bodyboard. bodyboarding really is good, but surfing imo that is, is more fun. yeah, i do get real pissed off at bodyboarders sometimes though because they are generally 12 year olds who drop in on you, but for the good ones..as long as they dont duck dive into me and dont drop in me..i respect them and yield if they have right of way.

I used to bodyboard before I surfed stand up, as I never thought I would be able to do stand up surfing when I was a little kid. A few years back though I thought I might give the stand up a go and found I loved it!

Cyclops: First impressions of it were     !!!!
From the pics I had seen of it I couldn't believe how thick the wave was! The footage on Billabong Odyssey of the guys surfing it was increadible!

I was born in Detroit Michigan, no ocean even close. My family moved to Sydney Australia in 1969 when I was ten, that was the first time I saw the ocean. At that time body surfing was a big deal and I really got into it. We moved to Ventura California three years later and body surfing was not real popular. I still body surfed all the time untill my good friend let me use one of his boards. I have been surfing since, never did the sponge thing.
