....right now, where would you want to be?

I wish I was back in New Zealand getting pissed on the beach with friends after a days surfing. Instead i'm off to the gym, then a swim and then work at the Spar till 10pm.

Where would you all rather be and what are you actually doing?

Congratulations to those smug b**tards that wouldnt change a thing (DBBB and jethrodog spring to mind)

Its odd... as much as I love it out here, the surf is fantastic, the job is perfect, everyone is sound and my house is great... I miss being able to just jump in the van and go visit friends round the country...

Its not so much wishing I was somwhere else., cause I don't :p but more I wish the irish see had a bridge!

Libs i think the ability to drive/not have restricted mobility makes the wish factor drop right down :p

right now, i'm actually really content :D it's a beautiful sunny day, blue sky, a gentle breeze, gorgeous blue sea (not that horrible murky colour it usually is!) and it's not even cold.

I went for a stroll just a minute ago, listened to the birds singing and the gentle lapping of the water on the shore. I spent another 2 days in hospital and got out yesterday evening so i'm appreciating seeing the sunshine and feeling the fresh air and the hearing the blissful near-silence. The world is a very beautiful place right now.

the only thing that would make it better is if, like papaW said, all my friends were here too :D

enjoy your gym and swim libs! Just pretend your swimming in the ocean back in NZ (somehow? )

I'm in NZ, there's a good swell, nice and warm weather too, but I'm stuck in an office working.

So I would like to be about 5km to the east of where I currently am, paddling out into some nice clean 3 footers.

South West Portugal, sitting in the sun having breakfast after my first session in 3-4 ft clean blue waves knowing I can go and do it again after breakfast with no work.....well, I'll be there for a week on March 1st so something to look forward too!

Thanks Libby. I will take being a smug b**tard as a compliment

But I can honestly say that yes I am exactly where I want to be. But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't mind a week surfing in Indo or a week visiting the Hobgoblin brewery and driving a p*ss drunk Kitesurfer home on the wrong side of the road.

By the way, did I mention it was a nice balmy 30*C today, slight wind, nice swell coming in for monday, and the water temp was 89*F yesterday while I surfed? No? Well I won't then, I don't want to p*ss anyone off.

For me it would have to be the west coast of france, do like the vendee area. Not to packed in the summer and not so far to drive. O, mind the locals, be polite and try the lingo. :)
