Despite most of the right hand side of my body ending up like that, I think I got off quite lightly... :D

Good session today. Light off shores solid swell. The slab went from 2ft to 3/4ft heavy as fook. Damm that wave is fast. Had it to myself then paddled across the harbour to the boulder reef for some long lefts. Agian to myself. :D

Saturday morning somewhere just outside Sligo...2-3 foot clean. Nice session all on my own for about 2 hours! When more guys turned up, it turned crappy!

Went out yesterday after being land lubbard for the past month. Wasn't great conditions and my body was stiff but it was a good time. Went out in Mission Beach, was about 3 foot on sets. Looking forward to being back in the water everyday.

The a well fun sesh with a mate and local booger at a wedge today.. set pushed a heavy hollow 3/4ft big airs where pulled. lots of chuns also. had me fin ripped off... not had that happen for like 3 years..

Took these after I got out, had died a bit of a death with the dropping tide.

Had quite a nice session this w/e at saunton / putts, it's been a while since I've surfed there so it was good.

Magicseaweed lied though, it promised me 8ft clean, I got about 3-4ft of mess clearing up on the sunday.

I'll put up some pics if I can find my phone, if it's not in my camping gear then it's still in devon! :(

Cracking session this afternoon.

Was out filming the final sequences for the spoof music video in the snow then winds turned offshore and hit my local boulder reef. had it to myself rounf 3ft. long rides with barrelling sections thanks to ideal winds. was cold but managed just short of 2 hours in. surfed my tits off tho :D

Surprise session after work today... winds lighted up to give a good 2-3ft peeers on my local boulder reef. which in the space of 40minutes jumped up to 5-6ft bombs hurling down the line...

so much speed, and the sections where perfect. Surfed it till past dark with the usual crew. great stuff :D

Community is great...

Postby PapaW » Sun Feb 10, 2008 3:07 pm

So all was set for a good sesh today...

Had to go do the causeway checks cause I was on duty this weekend then burnt back to the local reef... was maxed out! so headed east and realised i didn't have enough fuel to make it so just went on a little further as there was a local station up the road.
It was shut...
turned around and tried to get back to Bushmills.... I'd almost made it to the final decent into the town when it run out. DOH! So parked up and off I started walking.
Prob only went about 50meters before the first car came along and I thumbed it down. Turned out to be Graham! (a local surfer I knew) Bonus! he took in into town so I could get fuel and took me back out to the van. Sound!

Gotta love community! :D:D

So once I was all sorted I was bakc on the road agina headed off east.. unfortunaly by this time the big tides (droppping) had killed it out east . Decided to invest some more exploring time. Had a ace lil drive around and then went back to my local and it had improved with it being low tide by the sets where comming in way to big for it to handle (talking about 15-20ft here)

however the odd gem cleaned up and looked like this.
(cropped to protect)
