How often do you re-wax your board?

Postby The Fafanator » Fri Feb 08, 2008 11:21 am

So, how often do you get a new wax job, and when do you consider it time to get a new wax job, personally, I wax my board atleast once a month, unless it is a real good wax job that never smears, but I like to put new wax on anyway sot that my board look better. (the wax gets durty.)

every six month or something. depends. unless i know the surf is gonna be amazing i sometimes do it for that sort of thing (most just getting excited and needing something to do to burn time while i wait for the surf)

Looks to me you guys use wax that is not really stickey, because mine smears after a while, how can you surf with 6 month old wax? (whell, I've seen people surf with no wax at all, but I must say my turns are much better with fresh wax, maby it is a confidence thing.)

wax is fine for a while anyway, aslong as you comb it or add a tad more every time...i've don't notice too much difference when i change the wax apart from a nice clean board and maybe a little weight difference

i put a little bit on everytime i go in, if I don't have any i just use a comb, i clean the wax off when it gets too thick and starts turning grayish

Never. Just chuck a bit more on every now and then, and once in a while, in a moment of boredom, I pick some of the stray pubic hair out of it.

I would say about once a year. If it gets slick in the water then I rough it up using my finger nails like a comb.

Not my favorite task, but if the wax builds up to say, 1/4 to 1/2 inch, it's time. Depends on the color as well. If it gets really dirty I change it out. Generally no more than 2 or 3 times a year.

Personally I love waxing my board, it kinda builds a bond between me and my board, knowing I put so much effort in it, making the perfect wax job.

Hahahahaha so i guess you sleep with your board too?

As for the question once every blue moon and wax combs are great for re-juvinating old wax.

How do you get pubes in a monopoly set?

It's got nothing to do with touching balls to stuff, they just get there.

One of the great mysteries of life I think......
