I surf at the most shark infested waters on earth (mythbusters even travelled here to bust 2 shark myths.), Mosselbay at the cape of storms, South Africa, and personally, I haven't heard of any surfer being attacked by a shark, only stupid tourists. When they see a shark the try and hit the shark so that it goes away, while it means no harm, and this does two things:

A: The shark feels threatened, and immediatly protects itself.
B: The shark gets angry because you punched him on the nose, and hits back.

So not only are you a surf god who surfs 10-15ft waves within 3 weeks of begining to surf you are also a an expert in the fied of shark behaviour.
Also try explaining to Bethany Hamilton that its only stupid surfers that get attacked by sharks, im sure she will be very pleased to hear it.
