They been denied a permit for a contest window by the City & County of Honolulu....

They gave no reason...

Our last correspondence from Bob Thomas of GOB Oahu indicates that the permit was denied with no reason given. He has since found out that the pro surfers have got 12 of the 16 days, 2 days go to Bodysurfing and a combination women's pro surfing/bodyboarding also 2 days.

Bit harsh really.. Bboarding is the most explosive event to take place at pipe... so much varity and big moves. more exciting spectator sport by far.
