i have like 20 bruises all over my legs lol and a fat one on the inside of my back foot near the toe... its really sore but i dont know how i did it, i know its from surfing though, it appeared after i went and i would have noticed if i whacked my foot that hard out of the water...
what could i be doing wrong... i had a massive one last week on my knee where i kept whacking the board when getting up but i have stopped doing that now haha yay! im a bit of a spaz lol..

I get a lot of bruises on my knees and thighs when surfing -more so when the waves are bigger. I think I'm getting them when I'm duckdiving and when I'm landing on my board after kicking out from the waves. Who knows? I guess with all the adrenaline pumping or endorphins kicking during surf, you just don't feel the bumps and bruises until later.

If you wear a wetsuit that has a knee pad, your knees will be fine i think...

I always have lots of bruises after surfing mainly on the back of my hands and the top of my feet and some on my legs. I bruise like a peach though.
I dont know your skill level but i get knocked about a bit by the waves whilst trying to get hold of my board - hand bruising.
When laying on a surf board the top of your feet are in contact with the board - little knock = foot bruising.

I think because of the cold and adrenaline you dont feel it at the time. Apart from the knee thing it doesnt necessarily mean you're doing anything wrong - they're just war wounds/battle scars......anything that makes it sound cool :D

I get all my bruses from washing on rocks, thankfully I need a wetsuit in this water otherwise I would have a ton of cuts, althugh I must say I have a shitload of cuts on my feet from the musscles on the rocks when I get out, damn it is hard to get out here in choppy conditions, the water is kinda foumy, so you can't se where you are going, and the whitewater fleshin' you about if you are not quick.
