Bad start to a new year

Postby smallwavegrovellerchick » Fri Jan 04, 2008 6:41 am

I watched the fireworks from my crashing patient's room for New Years. The next day I skipped an evening surf session to watch the UH Warriors and my beloved Colt Brennan get destroyed by the Georgia Bulldogs. Still haven't surfed in 2008.

Surf along north facing shores will be lowering to 5 to 8 feet Friday.
Surf along west facing shores will be 2 to 3 feet through Friday.
Surf along east facing shores will be 4 to 6 feet through Friday.
Surf along south facing shores will be 2 feet or less through Friday.

You can disregard the East & West since the East side is windy on-shore and 2-3' on the West side means that it's flat. North Shore did not look good on the cams and if no one is out at Diamond Head on the South shore then you know it's a bad day in town.

I believe the sexual assault charges were dropped and he ended up being charged with burglary and trespassing with a total of 7 days in the slammer. Funny how things have changed for Colt over the past few years. No one crying rape here now that he's practically a rock star here in HI.

arnt you the same one that said that to me before? we had this discussion before. the surf is pretty much garbage on every shore for one reason or another except maybe the north shore, but its not even worth the drive when its rainy and probably blown out. i guess if youre a beginner blown out surf is fine because you dont need to ride the face, just the whitewash.

ever since i heard that stuff about brennan i havent really cared for him. bummer they got killed though.

I was rooting for them too  I wanted them to make a statement for the WAC, as I am an alum of another WAC school (the only one to win a bowl game this season). Though they do seem to have a bit of difficulty when travelling to the mainland, I think they had to deal with a 5 hour time difference, whereas Georgia only had a 1 hr time difference.

My New Year has been a bit of a strange one so far.

The crap part: Went ice skating on Wednesday and fell so hard (on my head) that I ended up with concussion and whiplash (and god knows how much bruising)

The good part: The hospital wouldn't x-ray me cos I couldn't give them a definite answer to ''any chance you could be pregnant'', so they sent me for an ultrasound.

Mini-Me due on/around July 24th.

I actually cried when Hawaii scored it's first TD. I was starting to worry that they wouldn't score a TD for the entire game. I was upset that the Georgia crowd showed poor sportsmanship by chanting "over-rated". I'm going to bite my tongue because if I get started on this subject I'll probably start ranting and raving as this is a rather emotional and touchy subject to most Hawai'ians. It's nice to know that there are a few other people out there rooting for our team. Thanks! :-)
