natural or goofy?

k so sorry if sum1 asked dis b4... does being goofy have neting 2 do with if youre right footed? coz evry time i start sliding i put my left foot forward coz i don wana b goofy :lol: ... oh, and whats lol??? :lol

Usually it is easier to surf a wave facing the wave so if you are goofy foot a left breaking is easier.Regular foot a right. After you get good it just doesn't matter. LOL: Laugh out loud. :lol:

im goofy footed and when i first started surfing i was surfing facing away from the wave :?

theres nothin wrong with bein goofy! goofy pride! :D
to find out if youre goofy or regular get a mate to stand behing you and push you when yoiure not expecting it and whichever foot you put out is youre lead foot!

goofy foot is the best stance 8) yeah for some reason when i first started, i found facing away from the wave easier :?

A good way to test is to take a run up and skid on a wooden/ slippery floor - whichever leg goes forward is the one you should have forward when you surf.

My mate learned to surf goofy and now surfs regular which means he can do all sorts of 'switchfoot' tricks. - Cool!

Another good way is to fall forward and see which legs stops u frm smacking you face on the ground

Yeah, try that and if no foot stops you and you fall on your face - you should probably give up surfing anyway!!
