Want to get that thrill of your first ride, you should try taking off opposite foot ( switch stance ) Just don't do it next to me.

But what your feeling is simply the Law of Diminishing Returns. As humans, we want to drink something more strong, jump from a higher point, date a more handsome guy, .....blah blah. Next time your not enjoying surfing, think would I rather be here in the ocean or behind a desk at work ?

Date a more handsome guy? What are you trying to say Waikiki?!?

Considering my trip to the beach racks up about 100km on my car each way, at least 2 hrs of driving and usually giving up needed sleep or weekends, I would probably prefer to be in the office earning some coin than be frustrated on crappy waves sometimes

A bad day surfing is better than any good day at work

No no guys ! That last statement was a stab back at my Ex-Wife. She wasn't satisfied with me and needed more. Now you guys got me frustrated ! Got to go take my tension out by destroying some waves. Aaghhh !!

Waikikikichan, are you living in Japan?
I'm curious how is surf there, have seen you posting a picture of a really cool looking board saying it was for surfing there!

Ian - I moved to Japan from Hawaii two years ago. Surf is mainly beach breaks. Waves get really good the day before and after a typhoon passes by. There's only about 2 weeks you can wear just trunks/boardshorts, the rest is wetsuits.

Cool, Japan is one place I would visit for sure! So is Hawaii. Both sound like really cool places.
Are breaks really crowded there?
Here so far trunks have done the job. I'm already looking into some short john's for winter. But I bet Japan's winter is colder.
