Just saw this post today. I did take a few 100 surf pics, but the 80-200mm f2.8 is gonna need a 1.4 converter for outside waves. I did get some non surf pics I thought turned out pretty good. Gotta take in to consideration I have always used a point and shoot. Shooting in manual mode is a lot to learn, but I think I'm on the right path.

Sweet dude, post up those surf pics! Doesn't matter if they're small....

Since you have a pretty massive resolution, you can always crop and enlarge and they will still be nice looking.

I love to shoot nature shots, surfing, and off the wall stuff, but I think I might be able to actually made some decent cash shooting little league baseball games. I've been asking around, and it seems theres quite a bit of intrest. People love to have pics of their kids.
