yeah! dammit! thats TWO campsite owners (on the two SW meets ive been to, who have bolocked me for driving round in it  .

anyhoo, heres the story.... it was spluttering a bit on the way back from surf on last tuesday; and then died in the uni campus car park; damn thing wouldnt start up.

checked the ignition coil, which was running at 12 volts so was fine; and sparking well. checked all the leads and decided they werent sparking too great. Cleaned up the rotor arm and replaced it, damn thing STILL wouldnt start.

Replaced rotor arm today, and it wouldnt start  cue me having a major diva strop and threatening to burn the damn thing.

Only other things I could think of were the relay for the fuel pump and the spark plugs. Checked relay, working fine...

begged borrowed & stealed a spark plug spanner and 5 out of the 8 plugs were totally coked up (they havent even been in there 6 months  )

Clened em up, put it all back together and voila! one fully functional V8

poxy thing
