bloody sand

Postby iomarti » Tue Jun 13, 2006 9:53 pm

well i went out for a surf and had to go back home after about 5minutes as i got a piece of fleshin' sand lodged under my contact lens...

It's really ripped at my eye... absolutely kills. Walked home with a huge swollen eye. Everyone was lookin at me with respect in their faces, i think they must have thought i'd taken a huge beating, but nope, just one bit of sand.

3 hours on, my eye is no better, swollen, sore, red and hurts like mad! :x

Hows the eye?, i think anyone who can put contact in deserves a medal...

Not a wearer myself, but an ex used to wear them, made me cringe every time i seen her putting them in...hate the thought of touching eyes!!!!,

Went running the other night and got a fly in my eye...watering like a *****..., so really felt for you with sand behind your contact rubbing on your eye...ouch!

You thought of getting them "goggles" for surfing?, thought about it myself as my eyes sting sometimes when been out for some time.

it's much better now, thanks but still sore...!

When I woke up it was still swollen huge. Took my board in for a ding repair this morning, the surfshop guy looked at the ding, then he looked at my eye, and said, 'wow, you really suffered there'...! i just smiled and pretended i was well hard :D

Maximum respect for the contact thing. I bought a set of yellow cat eye 'party contacts' to go to a rave with, OH MY GOD. It took me about half an hour to get the bloody things in, then they itched so much I was crying after about 15 mins!

Mind you, on your part, bonus qudos for the beach scene! :D

You might want to get some eye wash stuff. That should help, as it would help get rid of the sand as well as soothing your eyes.

I wear contacts in the surf..I have never had a problem! Just remember to always keep a bottle of contact fluid close by. If I were you I would have taken my contact out then put it back in...leaving it in scratches your eye and is just silly!

Once though, my brother scratched my cornea in my eye. hurt like fu¢k for a day, then it healed..amazing how fast my eye healed...
