SoCal water is cold!

Two weeks ago the water was 73F, almost didn't need a wetsuit.

The past week or so the water is 59, it's like winter and the wave sucks. What's going on? I hope it gets warmer again.

We get those quick temp changes on the east coast a lot too. It's usually from strong offshore winds that blow the warmer surface water out to sea... and flattens the waves out too. Freezing cold ankle slappers..

SoCal water is one of the coldest water for surfing! I concur!
