Shortboard so I can duck dive & "best fin to get" questions

Q1 "Which short board should I get so I can learn to duck dive as I can't get out on my longboard ?"
Q2 "What fin material is best ?"
Q3 "The person having the most fun is the best surfer."

A2 Watch basically every rock jump off and ask them if their carbon honey comb wizz-bang big dollar fins were worth it.

I wonder how many surfers get taken out by the lip like that? I have been tubed hundreds of times but the closet thing to that that I can recall is a few times where I was tubed backside and tried to do a speed pump resulting in head contacting lip then slowly getting pulled off the board by contact with the lip
