I think it's global warming which makes the hurricanes stay more north than they would normally. Sad for me because there was a nice ground swell, not the usual wind swell and it was around 4 feet which I love that size and not much wind because the hurricane was still far away so no wind from it but it was blocking the normal tradewinds (onshore). Oh well what you gonna do? My wife used to suffer from panic attacks which she would beep me (page my beeper) while I was surfing to go take her to the hospital. After a while she got over them but she is still a worry wart. I haven't drowned yet but still there's a chance I guess. The accuracy of hurricane predictions lessens with time so pretty accurate for one day but a little less for the next and so on because small changes one day make for huge changes the next day. I have an app on my cell phone that lets me see a radar image of the weather around Kauai and so I had an idea it was moving away before anyone wanted to commit to that description, I think they were just erring on the side of caution. So a bad night sleep and a day off to reset.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.
