Mana Surfboards? info on this quad?

Postby PJjj » Sat Mar 14, 2020 8:12 pm

I found this in my apartment dumpster area. What do you guys think? I might give it a spin but it's probably too advanced for me as I have only been surfing for about 8 months. I spent two months on a wavestorm and then was riding a 7 ft 8 in funboard up until a few weeks ago now trying a 7 foot 2 in egg.

Any idea on how much it might be worth? It's in really good shape. No dimensions or other shaper markings on it. I taped it out at 5 foot 9 inches long.

You should shorten the red leash cord going into plug by about half the length or more. ( And while your at it take off the hang tag/clip / wax scrapper )

I gophered it!

Took my new-to-me longboard 9'2" (3rd time riding it) out today and also took this shortboard out. Smaller 2-3'... so many thoughts....paddling is a minus. Though not really needed today, it was my first time being able to duck dive, a big plus for the paddling.

After out on the longboard, I took a break. Winds picked up slightly and the waves started closing out a bit more. I was able to ride the board! Couple small wishy washy turns...this board is fast compared to what I am used to! With the closeouts I was really just getting out in front and then kicking out.

Also...the takeoff and popup seemed to need more quickness on my part. Nice light and flicky feel. Not nearly close to ride regularly, but it was fine to try out and I think I can see how it might help my surfing on the other boards by developing more quickness and sensitivity.

I think if I could have caught a clean shoulder today I may have had a somewhat decent ride on it. Yew!
