How to improve turns & which fins to lean on when turning.

Ok I’m back. I’m 5’10 on a good day when I slept on my back rather than my face. I’m 140 lbs. I use a 5’7 24.5 L in 2-4 ft beach break surf. My question is on a Thruster setup, when your turning, do you want to feel all three fins or just the fins that your leaning on to turn? So if I’m regular foot going for a bottom turn do I only want to feel the back and toe fins? Or should I have my foot in the position where I can kinda feel all three? And if I go for a cutback but my back foot is shifted more on my toe side fin should I keep it there and lean even more on my heel or should I drop it back towards the center or even more to the heel sided fin? Just because my cutties are weak ash atm. If I’m just trying to be light footed and plain across the wave trying to get ready for a turn should I be keeping my back foot pressure on any fin? Or should I just try to keep no pressure at all and put all my weight on my knees?

It’s weird because I can actually do re entries pretty well and can get my board pretty above the lip but that’s about it as far as moves and I’m thinking it’s because I’m always putting too much pressure on my back foot toe and toe sided fin rather then keeping it center and using all fins.

Also another big question one that I honestly want answered more is before I go for turns should I try to keep most of my weight on my knees and in the center of the board? And rather than leaning should I try to just stay completely center and just use my toes and heels to turn? Could that be my problem, is that I’m leaning too much when turning? A lot of times it feels as if I’m always leaning on my toes when I’m surfing rights and when I go through turns and ik it’s most likely a massive problem. Any tips on how to fix this and how to turn better? Plz help my surfing has been at a standstill for months and I’m tryna rip bro lmao

Make sure that you look properly over your front shoulder.

If you can get air and land re-entries, then I guess there's nothing really to work on. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Not sure what you mean about feeling the fins, but look at the photos of good surfers coming off the bottom. You can usually see the outside rail's fin out of the water anyways.
