Panama's Gary Saavedra is a 13-time national surfing champion. He recenlty set the Guinness World Records for longest time and distance surfed on open water. He did this by surfing a wave created by a wakeboarding boat moving through the Panama Canal. Saavedra rode the wave for 3 hours, 55 minutes and two seconds, while spanning a distance of 41.3 miles. Imagine, he said he got tired at the onset of the 3rd hour!
