That's true but I'd like to think that it's more jealousy than caring what people think. Of course I also don't want to look like the total kook either. But seeing guys getting wave after wave, and getting really long rides as they easily get around sections or do floaters over them.
They take off much deeper than you and thus don't give you a chance to get a wave, they get barreled in tiny surf when you wouldn't believe that it was possible to get barreled that day. They do massive hacks in gutless surf when you have trouble just getting any speed and doing one turn.
It can get really frustrating when you are surrounded by such talent.
