fri morning - surf at llangenninth, beautiful clean 3ft waves with the occasional bigger 4ft set, absolutely stunning longest rides ive ever had at that beach and not the usual slop either, nice steep shortboardy waves until high tide. Got sunburn on me nose tho :(

Sat morn- secret (ish) spot near llangennith, really good 3-4ft clean and hardly anyone there, classic weekend, would go tomorrow too but i think ill be so knackerd it wouldnt do me much good.

Bluyan - No worries, was the site down? Yeah Sat didn't really amount to much up here. Todays the day for it. Going to be hitting the wedge this avo for some classic glassy ones.

Four days of great surf :D

As predicted, I was a bit out of practise, but got back on it after a session or two

Thursday - Puts, big and clean on the incoming, smaller and cleaner on the drop.
Friday - Croyde, fantastic session in the early morning, got some top quality waves, surfed like a tired out muppet at low tide, and was way outclassed by the locals in classic low tide croyde barrels :?
Saturday - playful day at saunton :D
Sunday - getting messy and gutless at saunton, but got one epically good wave. Wave of the day :D

And, ouch, I ache this morning

Had an excellent day yesterday. Swell was shoulder high, with the odd head high set and really well formed. I was able to get some really good speed going down the face. It was awesome.

After the past two days sessions being ruined for me becuase of work shifts not coinciding with tides, I finally got into clean 4-5ft reef at 5am this morning. Pulled into one of the best tubes I've ever had and the waves where lit up by the most golden sunrise I've ever seen. Bliss!

Just got back from a trip to the south coast - windy mushy waist high waves affected by the backwash from the hightide on the pebbly beach.

Should've been rubbish - but had lots of fun for a few hours :D

Last Saturday-- knee to waist high with some chest high sets. mostly closeout. Clean conditions in the morning that degraded as the day went on.

Also, the jetty was spitting out these strange waves that were coming in sideways. The sideways waves would merge together to make one big peak. Kinda cool, kinda weird. I caught a couple of those intentionally, they were pretty fun I guess.

I also caught some of the straight in ones and rode them into the sideways ones. Too bad I wasn't on my shortboard, they would've been fun to slap.

I was out Friday in the cleanest conditions I've been able to get in months. It was about waist to chest high and peeling; so sweet!
I paddled for this one wave and angled the take off. Popped up backside on a right hander and got my first barrel. :D

Okay...it was really small and was mostly falling on my head, but I was tucked in and I rode through it....so I'm claiming it, damn it! 8)

yeah, I kinda figured the wedge part...but does anybody know what causes them?

Felt like I was at the real wedge, just not that big.

It seemed like the sideways waves were stronger, but not bigger....
