no, the April Fool's joke WAS a joke.

I have a huge issue getting a ride. I live 2-3 hours away, from very undependable surf. Nobody else in my family surfs, and they are hardly beach-goers either. I get very little surfing time, although I hope this year will change....!

GET MY LICENSE SUNDAY!!

but then I still don't have a car and I still have parents that aren't cool with me driving by myself down to the beach. I have finally found a couple of guys who can drive that surf...a little bit... but still...

yeah, it drives me insane. that's why I took up longboard skating, to distract me a little bit from the lack of surf.

My name is Tommy, and I have a problem.

well..my day sucked. I got out of bed nice and early (6am), drove to the beach and I saw some other surfers already there.

The waves sucked..they were small..and most broke right on the beach. Then the tourists came, and the sun came out....so I have sunburn.

Next week should be better

Tatally agree. I think Chivas Regal wrote that. He's only 12 years old, so don't worry about him.

Got out on the moauntainboard fo rthe first time in ages, has helped a bit but I jsut want to get in!!!!

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Looks like it'll be a 2-3ft guttless session tomorrow then!

Last couple of weekends, ready to travel in any direction... nuthin' happenin'

This week, could travel, but nothing worth taking precious holidays for.
This weekend coming - flat.
Week after that - can travel, but still not looking promising.

Basically, been sitting here for the last two weeks, boards in the van, work sorted so I can just drop everything, and its all gutless nonsence or flat.

What happened to the spring swells? :?

We've had them ot seems Its been a amazing winter after all... All change this time of year, I'd expect to see some classic swells through May and into June then it'll be the sparse summer. With luck it'll be a good hurricane season in the carabean and we will get the aftermath :D:D:D

Yeah, I made an almost supernatural effort in repeatedly missing the swells!
People kept getting married and stuff like that, each time there was a decent swell :(
So Im feeling a bit out of practise. My girlfriend is looking at the pressure charts too, waiting for the moment when I flesh off to the beach and stop being irritable and annoying

Hit a local reef on Wednesday, big 3-6ft sets amid the cross shore winds as the ground swrell rolled in up here. Was great fun and getting launched was unavoidable :)
The following day the winds switched to a perfect light off shore and so we returned to the reef about 8am. Unfortunaly the swell wasn't quite enough to set things going so we ended up jsut screwing about, pulled up the lobsterpots and spent the majority of the day in the water. If the tides had been a bit bigger it proberly would have worked in the avo but we made do with 1-2ft over v shallow reef. Scrapes bashes and laughs were had :)

Off tonight with my lovly lady to have a lil fire and bbq staying in the van over night. Bless :p
