They always says you need to push to break the muscle down so that it will get stronger.

It sounds like you are describing pain caused by the paddling motion itself. I would consult a doctor.
You can't cram for the surf exam.

The day that I had muscle pain during surfing was the day that I only drank coffee before I went surfing. It was the first thing I did when I woke up and was in the water 20 minutes later. My friend got out the dehydrated after 2 hours and drank a ton of water yet I didn't feel thirsty at all and didn't drink anything till much later.

So hydrate and eat a banana. Drink a half of cup of coffee, I still do, but I always make sure to dring water or a gatorate before surfing.

I don't get why people ask stuff like this on forums rather than calling a doctor? You probably have fewer, if you are shivering after surfing.

Just an update. I guess I could say I'm healthier the more I exercise, surf and eat none processed food. No longer it takes me 1-2 days to recover from surfing. I'm close to being able to surf every day again. As the water temperature gets colder, my body is getting used to it. Oddly enough, I'm now wearing a 2mm shorty vs 3 months ago where i was wearing a 3mm full suit and still feel cold!

However I wish one of these days I can feel 100% before I go in the water. It's hard with a baby and feeling tired all the time.

After a year or so the baby will sleep for a night.

then you will have to spend all days chasing and amusing.

About age 9 or 10 you can start feeling less tired. Except you are then older and probably working hard, so there is that trade off...
