This is such good news. I signed a petition or two and wrote letters to the Governator, the Coastal Commission, and a couple of state senators. It was a crazy notion to begin with. San O and the park have provided family recreation for decades. There is even an annual kids' surfing contest there. Thank goodness the toll road plan is going away.

If it is like some of the development things where i live in NorCAL, we can expect to see it again. Any time there is a lot of money from developers and/or something that can serve the business community (commuters, in this case), it doesn'[t go away on the first defeat. So, we may have to rally again.

We'll do it Billie, San O is a sacred place to So Cal surfers. We're not going to let them destroy the area so some rich puke in his BMer can get home 20 minutes sooner...
