GoPro 5 would rather return it

I got a new GoPro 5 and going to return because:
I still have another GoPro silver 4;
5 is not that better but could be worse in some respects ( being waterproof it is still likely not to be waterproof enough for surfing; so, buying dive housing with a new floatie is a must).

Has anybody bought it and really liked it that much to say it is far better than the previous models? I am pretty sure but still may reconsider my decision to return it.

I saw it does voice control and touchscreen? Can be useful because the old ones hard to control with the stupid buttons. I heard the battery last longer but I don't believe it because it is touchscreen.

Yep! The battery lasts a bit longer and the voice recording is better. As for voice commands, it won't work perfectly while exposed to the ocean noise at least with my accent.

And the touch screen is useless with the dive housing and floaty. And on the shore, the apple application is far better than build-in touch screen.

Does the built in stabilizer actually work on the 5? I heard it doesn't really affect anything.

You can see the difference but for surfing it does not matter! For motorbikes and even outdoor cycling the difference is vivid!
As for surfing, there should be substantial bumps to notice the difference (as a rule, I fell in such bumps anyway)

And the new voice recording/recognition features are likely to be adversely affected by the dive housing.

And the naked camera could be fine in smaller but not in bigger ones. I got two GoPro remotes (similar waterproof characteristics) water damaged after a limited number of surfing sessions.

Sounds like Go Pro need to release a thinner waterhoused case that can pick up voice recognition.

It's most likely because sound doesn't travel through water well. There isn't much that they can do.
