DEFINITELY Some of the swells have long lulls between sets, this one certainly did, some high quality sitting and surfing BS went down! But the waves were extremely nice as you can see by the conditions.
The date of the shot was the 23rd of April 2012.

Just got back from Alaska.

I have read all 16 pages just to make sure that I don't already repeat what someone else has said, but I tend to surf Saunton Sands, I used to surf Bournemouth and Boscombe when I lived in salisbury but have now moved to Oxford, a bit more land locked:( I've wanted to surf Woolacombe and Putsborough but when the conditions are good there they are also good in Saunton so this week I'm going to attempt to surf the three spots in three days.

Consider Broulee, pink rocks and Moruya river mouth either side of the break wall, watch the rip in the river mouth.
Try also tomaga river mouth. Read the winds to choose!
There are other secret spots go looking

Nah surf in boar dies and rashie it will harden you up for when you go to England
Down to 15 c now in the water. Blowing a major gale now Wednesday looks to be huge 7 meter swell, seek sheltered southern ends, watch Moruya river mouth, flood warnings , the Noahs will be munching on the washed out cows. Werri Point or boneyards, further south to Bunga , sand is not right for Pambula just away of perfect condition close outs .

Lol I'm not that hardcore yet . Big swell but it looks to dissipate by the weekend and is heaps southerly. I was watching the moruya can for a bit and it was about 1 ft waves when there was a 5 ft E swell. So the 6-7ft S swell that's predicted may not do too much. Not to worry though, still a beautiful part of the country

For Threeo, Dbbb and Jimi especially.
The chaos of the swell has gone and the newly departed storm must have been doing its crowd pleasing death pits elsewhere as we had this with shifts of 6 to eight surfers all day both today and yesterday.
I had one three hour shift each day and ended the session with happy spaghetti arms from the three hundred metre paddle back to the take off spot lost count of the waves, well worth it.
Friday brings Bruichladdigh and and a warm fire afterwards. Turn off the news I don't want to know how the other half live tonight!!!!
The storm that generated this and the huge seas in Sydney blew down 2000 trees ( where's garbarrage when we need him?) on the Princes Highway to Melbourne and generated quite a lot of flooding south of the border. This is also the same storm that sent the swell to Fiji for the Volcom Pro at Cloudbreak

These are medium sized

With nice shape and were rideable for 300 metres

The boats had to wait for the smaller waves to come in.

Look at those waves, you luck lads on the East Coast there. I've been hearing about the huge swells that have been hitting, it's great to see some decent rideable waves at the end of it all. Looks like a great day, good on ya Jaffa

me and da boyz hit baja today. Caught Teresitas overhead and a half with the occassional double that cleaned out the lineup, only 4 other surfers when we go there but we got our ownour and a half before a crowd of a dozen ended up with us.

Later we hit La Fonda and caught overhead weird beach breack, weird because what looked like a chest high wave would jack up to overhead and spill into 3ft of water, totally fun! There too we found our own peak for 3 hours, doing a bunch of drop in and bail outs, with the ocassional coverup and longer ride.

Fun, glad the huricane swell hit
