October surf in Maine

Hey there!
Planning a quick trip to Maine but I've never been, wondering which beach breaks (intermediate level surfer, not comfortable on reef or rocky bottom) are most promising to provide consistent/decent swell in October? The forecasts on magic seaweed right now call for 1-2ft in most places - is it always that small, or are there particular beaches that generally tend to get a bit more swell? Thanks for the help!
