Surfing while quicksilver pro is on

I might be able to get to France in October while the quicksilver pro is on. I really want to sure La Graviere but will that be possible while the comp is on or is there other tube spots close?

As a rule of thumb, avoid surfing near competition sites.
The Pros and their retinue overwhelm most lineups, some of the crew are cool but others are just pigs in the water. And of course they out surf and position better than mere mortals.
Worse still is the flotilla of would bes who hang around. Doing the I want to impress dance.
Unless I am there to watch the comp , I'd pick elsewhere well distant.
