Message in a Bottle...

Postby Helena Lavoux » Mon Feb 25, 2013 9:54 pm

Aloha;
So my Mate and I are gonna be Travelling Down to Vegas from Alberia (Alberta) Canada, and we are going to hit up California and Travel along the Coast back up to Vancouver and then back to winterland... This will be our first Trip coastal in those areas... Anyone know of any cool places to stay... Hostels, Parks, Camp Grounds, Friendly Kats driveways? even to just park the car for the night along the coast... Also Im looking for a good place or places to go surfing, for beginner styles... Ive only been up to Tofino surfing twice, and my Mate has yet to catch his first wave... And since we are going to be in the neighbourhood of some sweet warm water.. Im itching to get my feet wet.... So this is my Message in a bottle... Hope someone finds it.
If anyone can help us out with some Intell or a place to Stay that would be stellar...

Mahallo
Helena.

Well, depends what time of year. If you travel now the water here is 60degrees, and it wil be colder as you drive north.

I don't know the hostels, but if you want to hit surf beaches here is what I would so as an itinerary:

San Diego, Newport Beach, Malibu (in the summer), Santa Barbara, Morro Bay, Santa Cruz. That is far as north as I have surfed, but after that you will need cold water wetsuits and such.
