Tall order. I know

Postby chamber66 » Sun Oct 02, 2011 12:14 pm

hi i'm looking for some advice on Indonesia. i fancy going next year, but doing an internet trawl floods me with way to much information. I'm looking for a good place to go which is not to heavy (wave wise) relatively easy to get to, has something for my partner to occupy themselves with during the day and preferably a left hander with minimal amount of surfers on it.. So far i have come up with G-land and the break 20:20. Any suggestions other than Bali?

Let's cover a few facts for you about G land , 20- 20 is the softest there along with Tiger tracks, they are much mellower than any of the other G land breaks and usually a lot less crowded with flying hot surfers. however the spot can be crowded with guys with who want to say they have been to G land. Might give you an idea of what to expect.
As to G land for your partner, mmmmm if your partner is female, expect a bit of salivating, jungle girl watching fever , also no shops no cafes just the camp restaurants, hopefully she reads a lot. No resorty pools just th holes in the reef, and some snorkelling.

I would more recommend the surf resort camp of Heaven on the Planet ( HOTPa gentleman's lefthander, not crowded boats are not as common as elsewhere. Sandy beaches and gentle snorkelling. Fly Bali to Lombok with Merpati the HOTP crew pick you up at the airport and drive you there but again no shopping or commercial distractions
Just a couple of cautions, modesty for women beyond the camp and don't let the monkeys steal her make up, the result is hideous.
The only other area I could suggest but it is accessible to day trippers from Kuta is Medewi west of of Kuta towards Java.

Nusa Lembongan has one break that might meet your criteria....... Playgrounds, have a read m suggestions elsewhere on Indo
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun! 冲浪爷爷
