Sleep in your car areas

Hi, newbie here
Started learning too late in life but enthusiastic nonetheless.
Would love any suggestions for places in North Cornwall or North Devon where I can stay in my car, ie spots where you can just rock up and sleep in your vehicle but not the usual campsites etc. Not essential they are right on the coast, just close enough to drive.
I've camped in multiple places in both counties but quite often I'm arriving in those areas on a Friday night when it's too late to pitch a tent.

I've been to Woolacombe many times. I would suggest to drive into one of those woolacombe bay sites. There you have restaurants and free showers. I've stayed at that place many times and I always forget to put my car sticker up. Nothing ever happened. They are pretty chilled there. But to sleep in the car, I would just find a offstreet parking? I think many people just park their car there and sleep in it.
