Performance board and twin Fins??

Postby Sethstealth321 » Sat Mar 20, 2021 1:06 am

Keen to know if anyone thinks it would be a good setup having a Blak box 2 squash tail with the FCS2 Rob Machado twin + stabiliser fins to use at wag pool and small beach breaks??

That might be a tough one without trying it out first. The positioning of the quad rears seems kinda similar to the Hypto Krypto and most people say those are usually better as a quad vs 2+1. But the 2+1 should make the board more loose and skatie, if that's what you're looking for.

I would give it a try if you can find the FCS test fins at a shop nearby

I would say the Rob Machado fin is a "Twin-Stabi" ( Large twin fin on the sides with smaller stabilizer in the center ) set up. "2+1" is using a medium fin in the longboard or mid-length's center box and smaller side bites to the sides.

I always thought a better term for larger single fin with 2 side fins would be '1+2' since the '1' is the main fin.
