Lost Crowd Killer Round

Postby GoofyinRI » Wed Sep 09, 2020 1:02 am

Any thoughts on the Lost Crowd Killer Round? Looking to surf through the winter in Rhode Island for the first time this year, so I’d be wearing 5 mil with hood, boots, and gloves. My summer boards are usually about 6’6 and 34-40 liters. I’m 6’2, 193 lbs, and 45. Looking for something maneuverable that will get into waves easy bc of the whole age thing. Thinking of going between 7’0 and 7’6. Thoughts? Any board you’d recommend if not this one?

I have had one for about a year now, and I absolutely love it. It's more or less a "transition" board for me--5'9, 155lbs, 28 year old. I've been riding a 6'8" x 20.75" x 2.74" 41L. It paddles well, gets into waves extremely easily, holds well on steep drops, yet is very maneuverable. It likes bigger surf a lot, although I've only had the chance to ride a handful of waves head high or above on it. The only thing I would say it doesn't do particularly well is grovel. For days under 3 ft I've been using MR twin + stabilizer fins, and that has helped it a bit, but I'm looking for a groveler to slot in beneath the CK.
