How To Read Surfboard Dimensions?

Postby chrisaguilera » Sun May 27, 2018 4:57 pm

Hey all,

So i'm abit confused on how to read all these dimensions correctly. I looked up on google how to decipher Surfboard dimensions, but it seems that the dimensions written on my board have a slightly different format. Can anyone help me read these?

Really just looking to know the volume.

Here are what the board reads: 6'0'' - 16.936 - 21 - 2.63 - 2170

Photos attached

Thanks!

First question does the board surf well= just go surfing!
Now details for when the surf is flat.
Ausmosis Surfboard out of St Catherine Ontario Canada, you could contact them for information .
Now dimensions length 6ft first width dimension almost 17 inches but widest point 21 inches then to a narrow tail.

The last dimension? Shaped by Erie Peeples

For an example: 9'0" x 18" x 22" x 15" x 2 3/4".
Length -
Nose width - measured 12" back from the nose,
Width at it widest point ( which maybe front or back of the exact center of the board )
Tail with - measured 12" up from the tail
Thickness -

Most shapers just put Length, width, thickness.
