Hybrid shortboard VS a hybrid/performance fish

I am currently riding a quad setup hybrid fish in any thing from waist high to headhigh (and a tiny bit bigger) waves and I was wondering if something like the LOST quiver killer would provide better performance in those 6ft waves. The waves where I am have some push to them but not a ton. Would a hybrid shortboard (such as the quiver killer) make sense to add to my quiver or would I really not notice the difference between that and my performance/hybrid fish? Thanks!

I think you'll enjoy and feel the difference in the rounded thumbtail, especially if your current board has a swallow tail.
