Inherited a board, newb in need of help!

Hi guys!

I appreciate your knowledge! So, I inherited this surf board and I'm trying to get some info on it. I've never surfed nor, obviously, shopped for a surf board so I'm totally oblivious to quality brands, specifications and their functionality to a rider. It's about 67" in length and 17" wide. I'd love to learn but I also have family members that'd love to as well and if it'd be better suited to them, I'll pass the board on. I'd like to be able to tell them what I'm giving them though so any information based on the measurements, brand and anything else from the attached pics would be SO appreciated! Thanks!

Are those measurements right? 17 inches wide at the widest point? That seems wrong. Anyway, at 5ft 7 long (67 inches) it would be one of the worst boards for a beginner, don't bother trying.

You can google up 'dickbilt', the brand. It's made by Dick Roseborough who I gather is a Florida shaper. It looks a bit beat up especially around the tail. The channels on the bottom aren't for everyone. Might be worth $100 if you are lucky, probably less really. It's looks surfable and if you gave it to someone for free and they were a good surfer, they might enjoy it.

Looks like a terrible board for beginner. I don't have much experiences like the other guys on the forum but I can tell you that I won't be able to catch any waves on that board.

5'7"and 17" is a grommie board (kids size). Fix the tail dings before putting it in the water.
