Hi guys, thanks for adding me to the forum.
Would like to introduce myself as my first post here. My name is Oded, I'm 42 yo, 5'6 and father of 4 lovely kids aged 3-13. I grew up in Tell Aviv, Israel, and started surfing as a teenager on the Mediterranean beaches of Tell Aviv, it didn't last long as I was living a bit more inland and required a lot of time to get to the surf. So didn't manage to learn much surfing skills but the surfing bug already infected my brain

as most of you familiar with. It seems lik a lifetime away, but since, we immigrated to Australia 13 years ago and settled in Ocean Shores in the beautiful Byron Shire, and I'm working in the in Tweed Heads daily. We live 1k from a shore break and from my work it's 5 minutes drive to snapper rocks and rainbow Bay, so over the past 13 years been trying to go back and start surfing properly without much luck, as we were building a young family with 4 kids, but the dream was still there, persistent little dream

so after my youngest one turned 3 I've decided that this is it and I'm doing it this year. But now at 42 weighting 88kg it was hard. I started 6 months ago, buying few longboards, until I found the right one, and started to go 1-3 times a week for a 2 hours surf sessions, and I did it, I smashed the wall and I'm surfing finally after all these years and loving it, I'm addicted, to the surf and to buying boards and experiment with new equipment. At this stage longboarding and don't think I'll go back to short boards at all, loving the pure feeling of being in the water and feeling the glide/trim on the wave. Anyway that's me, God what a long post
