New here--board advice please?

Postby sunjunkie1 » Fri Jan 02, 2015 8:13 pm

Hi all! I learned to surf in April 2013 and have been surfing a board that is 8'0" x 22/12 x 2 3/4. I want to go to a 7'6" funboard and am looking at a used Stewart Funline 11 for $400. Is this a good choice for me? Is 3" too thick? I'm 5'7" and 123 lbs (and female). Surfing in San Diego area waist to slightly overhead. Most of the boards I've seen are 21 1/2 and I'm concerned that is not wide enough for me. Thanks for any advice.

Looks like a fun board ( sorry ) At 22" won't be too narrow and should handle waist to head high waves . A good answer would be see if you can try it.
welcome to the forum , maybe a a nice selfie surf present!
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun! 冲浪爷爷
