landlocked surfer from Indianapolis

Hello! I have to admit that I was pretty stoked when I came across the site. I live in Indianapolis Indiana where the closest ocean is about 10 hours away, so that I means I have to travel for waves.
I recently posted some perspective on a trip that I took to Costa Rica, but it looks like it was removed due to "self promotion"??? If you read it, know that I am in know way affiliated with any of the places I mentioned...that would be a tool move...just thought that I was being helpful is all Sorry about that if it appeared I was promoting something.

I have a quiver of 2 Pope Bisect Harbour San O's, a Munoz Glide, Ukulele Chris Ruddy Model, Driftwood triple stringer, a couple Uli inflatables, and an old Lightning Bolt and single fin.
I'm an avid snowboarder as well and spend time chasing powder out in Utah and Colorado...

Hopefully this detail I've shared isn't also considered self promotion .
Been surfing for around 15 years mostly in Southern California around Dana Point and San Onofre, but consider myself of intermediate skill level at best.

Hi Indy , wow a fellow bisect boarder, great boards for travel, you are welcome on the forum, I even think you might have more boards in the rack than I do
Just hang around the forum and there is lots to share. Bit of a bumpy takeoff for you but glad to see you handled the drop.
Bisects n Australia are not the models of stock boards like Harbour but rather a selection of set sizes by Wayne Rich in Epoxy technology. Not my day to day go to board but a travel board for awkward airlines to OS.

Yeah, my bad...I actually thought that I was sharing some helpful hints, but it looks like it was taken that I was trying to market the resort...far from it Thanks for the warm welcome though. A bit more about the bisect...I bought it about 11 year ago and to my knowledge, it is the only 11' fiberglass Harbour Sano in existence. It is a beast and floats like a canoe.
My wife would say that I have far too many boards...I would agree for the amount of time I spend in the water, but my motto has always been "life is too short to ride a bad board".

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I am looking forward to hopefully being a worthwhile member! Today it is 18 degrees fahrenheit for a high, so we are looking forward to dipping south in a few weeks for some warmer weather! It has been a few months since my last surf, so as you all might imagine, I am getting a bit restless...and fat
Forums like this and chats with folks like you all are great ways to stay connected to riding waves even when I can't be in the ocean!
