Hey Everyone.
Names Mike I live near Plymouth UK, been surfing for around 23 years and recently started to make my own boards which is great fun. I'm pretty lucky in that I have a job which means I have to work very little so my life revolves around either making boards or surfing.

Sure is J, funny thing is I've spent most of my life surfing boards which I knew very little about, buying boards because it looked good or because some shaper has talked me into surfing something 'a little better for UK waves'
Dont mean to dis anyone but I reckon 80% of my mates are the same and some of them are very good surfers!

You should give it a go, I reckon every surfer should make at least one board in their life.

I'm just finishing off a little 5'8" epoxy quad at the moment, I'II post some pics up of the completed board when its done.

I was down there over christmas, my mum lives in Hayle. I've only taken up the sport in the last 3 months with my son.

I am J-Rock. I live Coronado California. My favorite sports to surf are LJ reefs. and Sun set cliffs on big days.
I am 16 and surf everyday big or small. Coronado is not that good of a surf spot, closes out at 5 ft and bigger. My dad is Sam Ryan, he owns"Long-Board-Grotto". Just closed his surf shop in 2008.
