Hello all....

First post for me so hello all. I’ve tried surfing previously with a bic pop out which was about 25 years ago. I could regularly stand up on and ride in, if the wave was on my side! I then had a 7ft thruster made for me but I could never get to my feet regularly and the board just wasn’t right for me... too small and little volume. I could paddle and catch waves but not with great consistency.....

So 20 years on, landlocked in Wrexham I’m trying again. I just received a Torq 8ft mini longboard which I hope will suit. Spent an age going through old posts about board size etc. We’re off to Porth Ceiriad at weekend for a few night but unfortunately flat, so snorkelling and fishing. Also got a week in Pembrokeshire booked for October and May next year. Will do days out if there’s surf and only an hour from surf Snowdonia. Have fun all...

Hello SorbusRock. Pembrokeshire? Is that where the corgis come from?
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

You’ve just educated me there as didn’t know the queens corgis originated in Pembrokeshire had to google it! Hi oldmansurfer just had couple of days at Porth ceiriad in north wales. Missed the waves by a day but ok body boarding with the kids on Monday and Tuesday. Fingers crossed for next few weeks...
